He used to go to bed later, but once he had the early bedtime, we made the switch. At that point (and now), he would be up at least twice to nurse. LO1 would sometimes wake up a little bit when I go in, but for the most part, she'd go right back to sleep. It's incredible what each of them will sleep through - both have slept through the other one's cries. I do run a white noise machine though.</p> <p>There are times when LO2's crying wakes up LO1 or vice versa, but most of the time it's pretty manageable. We actually had LO1 in our bedroom longer than LO2 - it basically got to a point where us adults didn't have any space to do anything because LO2 was in our room. In preparation for this, we got LO1 a toddler bed and kept the crib for LO2 (but then raised the crib a few levels). </p> <p>There have been a few bumps in the road, but so far, it's been good. So the youngest was 15-16 months, and #1 was 3 years old when they started sharing. The oldest was in a twin bed, and youngest was still in his crib.
