I hate to say this, but it was 22 weeks. I wasn't throwing up though, just super nauseous.

I got lucky and only had it until I was 9 weeks. I never got sick but was very nauseated and food made me very gaggy.

@savanarunner: I've been trying to stagger my pill taking, so usually I take a vitamin pretty soon after dinner (6-7ish), then unisom+b6 about an hour before bed (8-9ish, plus then I'm sleepy by the time I lay down), then I have to take a progesterone pill right before bed. You could take the unisom+b6 right before bed if you want, but if you're having trouble falling asleep you may want to try it a little earlier.

I still have some food aversions and weird cravings, but the past two days (at 8 weeks) I am not feeling as generally awful and nauseated. I think it will come in waves for a few more weeks. I'm finding that every day is an adventure.

I got a delayed case. Started feeling sick around 7w; nausea/vomiting peaked around 16w; and the sickness started going away around 18w. Finally felt normal around 21w. Now there are only scattered mornings where I feel the vomit wave rise and fall.

My morning sickness pattern followed my mom's. Have you asked your mom what her experience was like?

@Mrs. Blue: One good thing about Unisom + B6 is it helped me fall asleep and stay asleep for most of the night (so I wouldn't wake up nauseous, having to munch on Cheerios at 3 am) and I think some of the effects lingered for the next day...I hope it makes you feel better!

@tororojo: I take my prenatal at night right before I go to bed. I skipped it once because I has just thrown up and didn't think I could handle it.

I should add that I actually have an rx for Zofran that I take on days like today when I'm going to be in court all day. But i for e myself to not take it on weekends and "regular" work days. It helps in that I don't feel as much like I'm going to vomit immediately, but it doesn't cut through the queasiness. I think I'll try Unisom + B6 and see if that helps.

Starting at 10 weeks it got way worse (I started taking Zofran instead of Unisom + B6), but now that I will be 12 weeks tomorrow, it MAY be lessening. Meaning I still feel nauseous, but I feel like there's a light at the end of the tunnel now. And I don't walk around the house with a trash can anymore. Do you think your prenatal could be causing some of it? Occasionally I skip it when I'm feeling really awful.
