He cried every day at drop off for a couple of weeks. But that got better. He eats and naps there better than at home. No issues ever. The teachers just told me he has really blossomed lately and has totally come out of his shell - only took a year! Transition was really easy. He had a one hour home visit from his teachers where they got to know each other and ask questions. Then we had an orientation day where half of the kids came with their parents to play for an hour or two. The school did a great job making LO feel comfortable, and the transition was gradual. She went two days a week from 9-11:45. We decided to send her last year because she's always been super attached to me and it did help her become more independent. The norm is 15 hrs per week (government funded for all kids the term after they turn 3) but I don't want her in that much, nor do I think five days a week of preschool is necessary at this age. My mom has watched him until now. Just wondering when your lo started and how long the transition period was w dropoffs, etc. ETA Ds will be three in late November. </p>
