At 16 months, but it was rare. It always happened at the grocery store when we're sitting and waiting for DH to pay and bag groceries. It's always fun to see the younger cashiers turn around and have that look of shock when they realize she's not being tortured. Lol.

When she turned 17 months old, it's like a switch flipped on and she's suddenly more active and she cries like she's pain for just about anything. I was able to tell the difference between her cries before, but now, it could be that she threw something and too lazy to get it and they all sound like she's cracked her head open!!

My 26 month old has ramped them up a bit lately, but never the really big ones. They almost always track with hunger or fatigue, so usually I can just address those issues. She does have some when it comes to boundaries and limits, but she knows that throwing a fit doesn't get her what she wants, so it's usually over quickly. If not, food or sleep helps.

Hm, DH and I were wondering this same thing! She is usually easy to predict but I can tell we have a character on our hands.

i think they started a little after my daughter turned 2. Tantrums usually meant she needed to sleep/take a nap at that stage. We also saw an increase when #2 came along. She is very loving with her new sis, but acts up about alot of other petty things. making sure she sleeps early and eats well at meals has helped reduce the crankiness and demands. Also more quality time with momma when #2 is sleeping or not feeding.

DD started tantrums before a year, too. I noticed that the frequency and severity of her tantrums significantly increase when she's teething or not feeling well, though. The rest of the time, her tantrums are pretty mild and much rarer, but when she's feeling bad, she'll through major tantrums multiple times a day.

Oh Bee... I do believe I posted almost this exact same question last week. I feel your pain... I really do. My post actually had almost the same exact line of "where did my angel go?" I really felt like someone had replaced him with a rotten imposter. The good news is that this week it's MUCH better, AND his drooling has almost disappeared. So my wishful thinking that it's just a phase due to painful molar teething may just be correct. Please know that I'm right there with you!!

I am pretty sure my LO started throwing tantrums before she was even 1 years old. She'd throw herself on the ground, roll around, and cry for what reason I do not know. Now that she is older, I do feel like her tantrums peak whenever she is getting new teeth.

Charlies rarely threw tantrums and when he did, they were usually mild. But the past couple of days, he's thrown an epic tantrum every day over nothing. I don't know if he's just at the age where he throws tantrums, if it has anything to do with Olive, or if he's getting his rear molars because he's been drooling a lot lately.

Where did my angel go?!?
