We tried to drop the nap over christmas break (3 1/2 years old). He did well for us but didn't make it work for school. So he is back napping. If he gets into the early kindergarten we will drop his nap this summer. If he doesn't, we will likely keep his nap until he drops it.

Mine only naps at daycare. He won't nap at home unless it's in the car. And the car hasn't been working the past few times. He's 29 months.

mine dropped her daytime nap before 2 (she will be 3 in may) but will sometimes flake it at about 2 or 3 if she's had a big morning.

Mine will be 3 in May and we have been going through this for some time. On a good week she will nap 4 or 5 times, a bad week once or twice. There honestly doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for it and it's really frustrating! And makes planning things so difficult! As much as I mourn the total loss of the nap, part of me is ready to be done with the constant limbo.

2.5 and she doesn't nap on the weekends, and it's awful. She naps at daycare but refuses when at home. We try everything but nothing works to get her down she always says "but it's not dark out" and comes up with every excuse. Usually on these days she's a mess by 5 o'clock and sometimes decides to fall asleep then.

IF we do get her to nap it's maybe an hour, if we are lucky it's 1 1/2 hours.

My LO is 27 months and she goes through weeks where she doesn't nap at all and then she will start up again. I'm guessing she will prob stop napping altogether by 2.5-3. On days she doesn't nap, she is in bed by 6/6:30 and will sleep until 6:30/7. On days she naps though, bedtime is pushed to 8/8:30.

My 2.5 year old daughter has been fighting her nap for some time now. It has come to the point where she needs a little bit of holding to wind down and fall asleep. When she does nap it is usually 2.5 hours. When she doesn't nap, she gets irritable and needy. When did your lo's drop their nap? I've given up on her napping some days, but am not totally convinced she is ready to drop it.
