@autumnlove: I think #2 will be a nightmare bc DD has been so easy in that way. As Rubies and Mr. Bee said, routines do help and I had DD on a schedule from early on so I'll try to do the same with #2 and hope for the best!

@Andrea: LO had a week of standing in the crib issues but she has been so easy to put down. I'm convinced LO #2 will be a handful at bedtime! :-) I hope your baby proves this theory wrong! :-)

@Rubies: @mrbee: My LO is still a bit young (3 months), but just curious what your routines look like...I know I'll need help when the time comes!

It comes and goes in waves! A very strict routine helps a lot, as does strong boundaries. Took us a while to figure that out!

My 9 month old is fighting sleep right now, but my daughter has been doing great. She is going to be 3 in March and very very very rarely has melt downs.

Once we started with a rigid bedtime routine (at 4 months...She's 16 months now), putting her down has been easy.

We're lucky in that DD has always been easy to put to bed.

I thought fussiness before bedtime was just an infant thing but DH's coworker told me his 3 and 4 year olds are still cranky before bedtime.
