@Sams Mom: LOVED this piece! Thanks for sharing! DS will be 3 this Christmas and we really haven’t said anything yet one way or the other about Santa ... we need to make a decision haha.

My son is going to be 8 this year and as far as I can tell, he still believes in Santa. He has never questioned it and I haven't ever said anything one way or the other.

I remember finding out in first grade. I don’t think most kids knew at that point. After finding out, I remember telling a boy in my class, thinking I was doing him a favor. ☹️

Dude, my parents were soo good at pulling the wool over our eyes as kids (and we are both probably a bit gullable too ) but we believed way too long. However, as I said my mom and dad went a longgg way to make it magical. Like my dad would ride our horse in the yard to leave "reindeer" prints. I know that I believed until about 6th grade and I only put it together bc I saw my parents buy us bikes (they didn't know I could see from where i was) and then on Christmas morning those bikes were "from santa". My brother believed until like 7th grade, no joke!!

So I think it all depends on the kid and other circumstances. I'm pretty sure now a days with technology and just the way kids are that most kids find out younger and younger....

My daughter is 10 and extremely gullible. She still believes in Santa Claus which, I think (on one hand) is sweet, but (on another hand) it makes her a target at school bc she argues with kids that "they NEED to believe in Santa so he will go on forever and they will get more toys." DD is a bit immature for her age, is very sensitive, and has a HUGE heart. I'm weak in this instance and can not break it to her just yet SO I told her that 10 years old is the cut off for Santa to deliver gifts to "Big Kids." I also told her that next year, her job is to help keep Santa's spirit alive with her brother and to become a "giver" (or a Little Santa at home or in the community). She seems satisfied with this and has not inquired further why 10 would be the magic number to stop with deliveries. 👍

Ok, so my family never did Santa, so we just got "the talk" about not telling our friends, cousins, acquaintances, so on so forth that Santa wasn't real. BUT I came across this article last year, and thought it would be really cute to use with our son, especially if we have another baby, so he doesn't ruin it for a younger sibling.

My LO1 has always been very aware of things and intuitive.
Last year, she asked me if Santa was real and I sort of hemmed and hawed through it bc I didn't want to lie to her. This year, she flat out told me that Santa doesn't exist. She's six

I also told her not to tell other friends and her brother and keep it between us bc I don't want her to be the source of other kids unhappiness.

Just wondering when other kids found out?
