@Smurfette: They will make awesome hand-me-downs for her LOs. Especially if she has more than one kiddo.

DD is 20 months and loves her "bankie" and cuddles it when she gets hurt or is mad or is sleepy. She can take it to daycare for naps, but we don't let her take it anywhere else, it stays in the car and "sleeps." I don't' see her letting it go anytime soon. End of world if we forget it, I keep a spare in my car just in case.

DS is almost 19 months and loves his wubbanub and AA security blankets. Usually he's been good about leaving them in his crib but if he were to see one outside of his crib (clean laundry) all bets are off and good luck getting him to let go! I'm not worried about the blanket but we'll be weaning him off the wubbanub after we take our flight at the end of the month.

DD (16 mo) never got into loveys, but she is completely attached to her Wubanub. Our rule is that it stays in the crib (except for long car rides and sometimes in the evenings when she is getting tired before bedtime). When it's time to leave her room, I say, "Gigi doesn't come to breakfast, can you leave her here, please?" and DD will throw it into her crib. Sometimes she tries to pretend like she doesn't have it, but I'm too smart for that.

My DD is 5.5, almost 6 and she still has two loveys. I don't see her dropping it any time soon. Maybe by the time she goes to sleepovers and is embarrased about it!
My DS still has a lovey too..

DS is 18 months and has a very strong attachment to his A&A security blankets. Some days he'll leave it in the crib in the morning, but he's been getting over an allergic reaction and teething for the last three! months and has been more attached.

I won't be doing any strict lovey-weaning, but j/w when toddlers outgrow their lovey attachments?

(This is coming from someone who STILL sleeps w her baby blanket (comforter) at home... :P)
