So shell ask for something she doesn't want. Every day. It's our routine. But I'm not going to not give her water..... Huge word explosion at that stage. She would say words spontaneously, but not on command, actually. Language development has huge ranges for each individual toddler, so it just depends. She calls yogurt 'ger' but never can tell me she wants it. Other foods that she loves, she will say it when she sees it but not if she wants it.</p> <p>I'm just wondering when toddlers start asking for things by name?
