@mrsjyw: I noticed the change in movement at 30 weeks -- I'm only 32+3 now... But someone else described the elbow and knee rolls which is sorta painful - but it started with those - and less kicking, more moves..... You'll probably notice it really soon!

My LO never really slowed her movement. Although, I will say she did slow down just a little bit 2 days before I was induced at 40w6d. I mentioned it and my OB did an ultrasound and my fluid was starting to get low, hence the induction.

@MsLipGloss: wow!!! how exciting!! Good luck with the induction, mama!

Over the last two-three weeks or so, the movements have become more of the rolls and full body jiggles (I'm 32w3d).

@Highwire: as it turns out, I was not imagining decreased movement . . . I mentioned it to my OB today during my appt, and long story short, my amino fluid is low and now I am being induced. So trust your instincts ladies! Butterbean should be here sometime tomorrow. :)

@highwire: so sad :(((((

i guess my original question was misleading. i was wondering when the soccer kicks turn into the big wavy motions that PPs have mentioned :) guess i have a few more weeks of soccer scrimmages before the big wave like movement :)

@Highwire: No worries! I have just become increasingly paranoid about the slow down in movement, and now that I am so close to the end, sometimes I get panicky that something will go wrong.

this is totally not doctor-approved advice, haha, but I had an hour-long ultrasound yesterday as part of a study. they basically watched LO for 7 minutes, turned off for 3, watched for 7, etc. At the end she was about asleep and they played a loud buzzer near my belly and she woke right up and started moving.

so moral of the story..if anyone gets super nervous, obviously call your OB, BUT...playing a loud noise really quick near your belly might get him/her moving! lol!

I'm 375d and the movement has changed from strong kicks to flutters and general "rolling." I also noticed a slight change in movement patterns, rather than being all day they tend to be at night/first thing in the morning with just sporadic in between (like right after I eat). My other pregnancy was the same.

I'm 35 weeks today, and she is still kicking away, straight into my rib cage...I think they might be bruised (and I wish I was joking!) I do feel her "roll" more now that she's bigger which gives me the feeling of being on a roller coaster.

Overall thought she's moving the same amount, even though I'm able to tell better when she naps and when she's awake! She likes her sleep, so lets hope that continues when she's out! haha but her 5:15 wake up time will need to be discussed ;)

she is definitely still wiggly. sometimes it's just basic movement, but sometimes it's like she's trying to box her way out. it's really scary looking, like alien encounter! haha!

I hope it goes to the very end! I'm actually super nervous about this. I had a friend who's baby passed away unexpectedly and no one listened to her concerns about lack of movement at the end because they just figured the baby was too big by that point.

The type of movement has changed for me in the last week. I'm 33w1d right now. They've changed from super kicks to just feeling a lot of movement in general. Every time he readjusts or squirms I feel it ALL over. It's not a big kick with a ton of momentum behind it...it's just him moving in general. I notice it a lot more now I think because it's almost constant.
