@Mamaof2: good idea, that's what we're gonna do! Bring over her stocking, and the surprise gift as well.

It's in a few hours, can't wait!

I say let her just open the anniversary gift since that's a separate thing.

@mrbee: I would let your mom open her stocking but not the kids

My kids fill a stocking for my mom every year - Santa doesn't fill it

In our house, Santa comes on Christmas Eve while we are all sleeping. I've always liked waking up Christmas morning with the stockings filled, Santa's present out, etc.

Santa comes on Christmas Eve after the kids go to sleep. Although Santa is making a trial run at our house tonight this year because DH has to work Christmas Day.

If your kids still believe, I wouldn't mess with Santa deliveries for a present for your mom! Just do a special breakfast or card from the kids.

I want to open up our stockings tomorrow morning (it will be Chrstmas Eve here then), but is that weird? I've heard some people open gifts on Christmas Eve in the evening and others open them on Christmas Day. So is it weird if we say that Santa came one full night early, because of time zone difference?

Haha, just wondering if it's weird if we open just the stocking in the morning... and then the gifts the next day! I ask because it's my mom's anniversary and I don't want her to think that I forgot it, so I was thinking that we'd surprise her in the morning with a stocking and then double surprise her with an anniversary gift. What do you think?
