Since he's been potty trained, I think the only time he's ever gone to the bathroom in the middle of the night was to puke when he got a stomach bug. And he had to walk right past the bathroom to get to our room. It doesn't bother me too much. I understand that it's dark and he's familiar with the route to us and not necessarily to the bathroom. DS will be 3 next month but night trained in Feb and also got moved to the basement room then too, he comes up the stairs to go pee once a night usually. The bathroom is right next to his bedroom and luckily, my son has never woken me up to go to the toilet. There is a light on in there so it isn't dark. He has to walk across the house to get us instead of going right next door to the bathroom 😂
