I feel like 1-2 is a toddler and 3-5 is a preschooler.

I thought it was around 3, but probably it depends on the kid? The other day, I was hanging out with two 20 month olds that are definitely still toddlers, but DD is 2 and seems more like a preschooler to me (compared to the 20 month olds, I mean).

I think babies become toddlers when they start walking or at their 1 year anniversary (which ever comes first)

Then toddlers become kids, at about 4-5 years old (pre-school)

I'd say 4. I was wondering when LOs stop being babies... I think mine will be my baby until I die? :P :D

At what age do you consider a toddler a little girl/boy instead of a toddler? My LO is two and a half, and I still think of her as a toddler. I guess I will consider her one until she's fully potty trained and proficient in communicating verbally. I'm thinking maybe when she turns four.

I just think it's weird when I'm shopping in the toddler section and there are clothes that would fit a kindergartner. But then again, I don't really know what the cutoff should be.
