I find it easier to get around, especially when hopping on and off public transportation. I've worn her in the Baby K'tan strolling around an outdoor mall and to dinner once. Also wore her in the Ergo (with infant insert) for a walk around the park. I babywore exclusively until 7 months, and I really preferred it for the colder months - she was close to me and all snuggled up and warm. I felt very uncomfortable switching to a stroller, and that was when it was already warm. I would not put a small baby in a stroller, honestly. He naps much better in the Ergo than he does in the stroller. We also always wear him at Costco for the same reason- nap time! I use the ergo with the insert as well as a jolly jumper winter cover that goes around my neck, under her feet and around her, which is fur lined and has a hood. I honestly think it makes her the warmest person around, she feels super toasty when I lift her out of it, mainly because she's got my body heat too and we've used it all winter. When Lowly was an infant she spent pretty much the whole day in there, minus when I was just regular holding her, which was rare. Even naps. Now we do lots still, running errands, outside, you name it. We were just outside today walking some CRP (grassland) by our house and flushing some pheasants and looking for beeswax. I've worn her sledding, and when it has been as cold as about 0 degrees F w/o windchill. Today was a balmy 32 F. We're just careful about how we dress, but it works just fine.
