We usually get ours the second week of October or so and carve the weekend before Halloween. But they don't last very long once you carve them, and they attract bugs.</p> <p>I've read things like dipping it in some sort of furniture polish seals them in and makes them last longer. Maybe we'll try that this year because last year our pumpkin totally melted!</p> <p>When do you carve yours? </p>
