We usually do a load Friday night to get it out of the way. Like a few other PPs, we're on time of use for electricity. Such a pain, especially since we're in a small townhouse, with the laundry on the other side of LO's bedroom. Thankfully, she's used to it going at night when she's in bed, but it's still a pain. We're usually home for lunch or soon after so the laundry is done when we get home and I just move it over to the dryer. I tend to start them as soon as I pick her up after work so they can be hanging in the evening and dry by the morning. On the other days, I'll try to start a load of clothes when I wake up and throw them in the dryer before I leave for work. The peak times change based on the season. Right now our on peak hours are 5-9 am and pm, and during the summer months on peak is 1-8 pm. So unless something really needs to be washed during the week, then everything gets done on the weekend.
