Right now (pregnant) I work out after work. We have a treadmill so I can just jump on there with a dvd on and get some exercise. Once the baby is here, I hope to work from home 3 days a week, and will hopefully be able to fit it a workout during my lunch break those days.

@Sandsandmore - I hear that. I don't even have any excuses, and I don't feel like working out. But I do try to diet and watch what I eat, and I think that's half the battle. Congratulations on losing your baby weight!

@adira, it's the truth. I had all kinds of lofty plans to exercise while pregnant (didn't happen b/c my pregnancy was so high risk and scary). I had lofty plans to exercise after (didn't because the babies were in the NICU and fighting for their lives). And now, we'll I'm just tired. When I do have time, I want to lay on the couch and watch trash tv.

I have been watching what I eat, and so I've lost the 39 pounds I gained. Yippeee!

Currently (pregnant), I work out after work. After baby arrives and while on maternity leave, I hope to just work it in during the day (it will be spring/summer so hope to even just get in long walks). After I return to work, no clue how I would get in working out....

I am 11 months post partum, and I returned exactly to my pre-pregnancy weight when my son turned 9 months. So, 40 weeks to put it on, 40 weeks to take it off rang true for me. I took it slowly, I couldn't do anything strenuous for three months after the birth, I had and still have terrible tailbone pains. I did a combination of diet, yoga while the baby napped and long walks with the stroller!

Well, I'm probably not the best person to give advice since I haven't been working out regularly lately, but when I DO work out regularly, I do it immediately after work before I do anything else. It's hard for me to get up super early, so I do it after work. I have some workout DVDs that I use, so I just plop one in and work out. Then I made dinner and go on with the rest of my evening.

Perhaps you can talk to your significant other about taking care of the baby for 30-45 minutes a day or something so that you can get your workout in?

I feel like there just aren't enought hours in the day to accomplish all the things that need to get done before the baby comes and exercise is falling to the wayside. It makes me feel a little guilty--like I'm not being healthy enough for the baby and the pregnancy weight will be that much harder to work off later.

How do you squeeze it into your day?
