That way people have to respond right then and there. I usually had people say, "What was your name?" As the interviewer I think I would feel a little annoyed if the candidate was pressing for an answer prior to the deadline I provided. The hand written note is enough of a follow for the time being. One of the jobs indicated that they would make a decision in about two weeks (which would be Friday of this week) and the other didn't indicate anything other than that they were just beginning the interview process.</p> <p>When would you follow up? </p>
