I guess my view is different...even though I work full time, I always have my parenting hat on. For example, I might get a call from school, a doctors office, have to take care of an insurance claim, it goes on and on.

My son is 5 and I can't recall a time where I didn't have to consider a million things.

Not often. While I work, which is part time. That's about it! Maybe the odd girls night, maybe 5x a year? My kids go to bed late so I don't get time after they go down. Working on that. ;)

During nap time, she still takes two 2 hour naps a day, so that's really nice. And when she goes to bed at night. But that is really time for me and my hubby. Every once in a while DH will take over so I can go out with my girlfriends.

I WOH 5 days a week, so all of those days and after she goes to bed at 8pm. I also go out every Saturday morning. It is a combination of meetings, errands, and working on my alt cert stuff for my teaching program.

My boys rarely nap, but I used to just get a little alone time when they napped. Now I get my alone time after they are in bed for night. Due to DH's schedule I very rarely get more then that to myself. I think the last time I got time to myself was getting my hair done in Jan.

My mom comes in the evening 1-2 days a week. Other days once DH is home I get maybe an hour, then once LO goes to bed I usually stay up another hour or two. Though I spend a chunk of every one of those times pumping, so I'm not as free as I want to be. On weekends most of my "me time" is spent sleeping in while DH takes her in the mornings.

When I'm working two days/week, a few hours on Tues when I have a sitter and DS is in preschool, naps, and usually an hour or two on the weekends when DH takes care of the kids and I go to the gym, spin class, grocery shopping, etc. I have found that I need time each day by myself in order to really be a patient, loving wife and parent.

Well, I WOH so there's that. But I also ask for it and get it whenever I want to. Last night I wanted to go do some returns before the mall closed so he covered bedtime. Tonight I have a MOPS group meeting. I don't ask that often (this week was an anomaly).

I'm a SAHM so my only real breaks are naptime, a couple of hours after DD goes to bed, or times when DH takes over fully for a bit.

Right now, I'm really pregnant, so I'm getting a lot of help. We'll see what a hot mess I become once the baby is here, but for now I am getting a good amount of breaks, aside from tending to my toddler when he's sick (which is pretty often since he started daycare in January).

I work 3 days a week, and on 2 of those days DH handles getting DS up, fed, and dropped off/picked up from daycare. If work isn't too crazy, those are nice days because I have a normal commute, have an adult day at the office, get home at a good time, and get dinner ready while DH is picking up the kid. Then we can sit down to a family dinner.

DS goes down for bed at 730pm every night, so once my daily chores are done, I'm usually able to relax beginning around 830-9pm.

I usually don't go into work on Mondays and Fridays, but we have to pay for full-time daycare, so I usually drop off DS for a few hours, during which I can do all my annoying chores, like cleaning and getting the groceries and errands done. That's not really a break, but some days I do just use the time to nap. Fridays DH and I usually have a lunch date together too, which is nice.

On the weekends, DH usually takes DS to the park or on an errand for 1-2 hours both days so I can get a break. If I have to solo on the weekends because DH is out of town, I usually have a mommy's helper come on Saturday morning to play with DS while I get some rest (I'm 30 weeks pregnant so I'm lagging a bit). DS goes to church nursery for an hour while DH and I are in service and we also usually take a family nap on Sunday afternoons.

Sometimes on Saturdays DH takes the kids to gym daycare and I stay home to mop the floors all by myself 😑. And I take the kids to gym daycare a couple times a week to work out and shower in peace, but I still feel 'on' because they're right there.

Basically only for work and chores; the same for my husband. We have pretty limited daycare, so we have to be working the entire time they are at daycare, plus extra time working at home during evenings and weekend naps. After they go to bed in the evenings, we work and do basic household chores until bedtime. (Although, quite clearly, I somehow manage to find time for the internet :silly: )

But the semester ends in 2 months! And then we will be able to take a break from work and parenting in the evenings.

I get an hour break during nap time M-TH, and I'm free at night when the kids go down (after 8pm). DH encourages me to get out of the house, but it's hard for me to leave. I don't like having alone time to myself outside of the house. My best buddies don't live nearby, and the ones who do are always too busy (or assume I'm too busy). Bleh.

For me, it's on my office days 1x a week, at nighttime after the kids are down 7pm-midnight, during my work days at home while my mom watches DS2 and DS1 is at preschool.

I occasionally get a momcation wknd with friends or run errands on the weekend alone. Or sleep while DH watches the kids.
