I've been known to throw books across the room. The last book I quit, I was about 150 pages into it before I finally gave up. And I would've kept going except that my brother said if I wasn't interested in it yet, it wasn't going to get any better for me! ETA: I think I try to get a quarter of the way through a book before I make a determination on it. If I read a quarter of it, it's usually captured my attention (or it hasn't). Sometimes it's hard to even make it that far though! How long do you give a book before giving up on it?
