@Foodnerd81: the too-short 45-minute nap was the bane of my existence during maternity leave. i would put him down for a nap and just be on pins and needles, waiting for him to cry. argh. i feel you, mama.

@edelweiss: I do leave her to fuss but then it escalates to real crying :(
She's slowing driving me crazy with this one issue.

if LO woke up too early from a nap (he had a hard time getting past the 45-minute mark and was still super cranky and tired), i would sometimes leave him and see if he went back to sleep in 15-20 minutes. if he didn't, i gave up on the nap.

or, i gave up on the nap if i didn't want to deal with hearing him cry/fuss in his crib and preferred to hear him cry/fuss in my arms, ha!

If baby keeps waking up too early from a nap, when do you accept that the nap is over? C, 8 weeks, is driving me nuts with the naps. She is a cranky mess if she doesn't take a long morning nap (like min 1.5 hours) but she keeps waking up and crying. She's still tired and if I bounce and rock her for another half an hour she will fall asleep again, maybe for 15 minutes, maybe for an hour. We have to go out at noon. I guess I'm just giving up on this one? Ugh.

Plus side she slept more than 8 hours straight last night! And now she is laying in my arms smiling up at me like, haha you thought you could shower?
