I got pregnant and was due in March of the new school year. It would have been awesome, except that I wasn't offered FMLA because I hadn't been there a year. That means that I had to go back after 8 weeks (due to a c-section), not 12 weeks. If I had been allowed the 12 weeks that would have put me going back to work the following school year, but they wouldn't let me. I really wish we had waited longer, because I ended up having to quit. I spent a good portion of the year freaking out and thinking I wasn't ready as a result! The time has come to start trying and while I think you're never 100% we're both really excited for this new phase in our lives. If I let myself think about it too much, I freaked out. I remember telling DH, "I'm just going to have to stop taking my pill and let whatever happens happen, and trust that it will all work out". And I admit, when I saw the positive on the preg test, a small part of me though "what the hell did we do?!" And we wholeheartedly 100% wanted to be parents. We have said that the earliest we would start is the new year, so that I can teach at least a full year in my new classroom and new school. We just moved into a new house, and know that making babies are the next step.....<br /> I know that you never know how long it will take etc. But it is freaking me out!!!! That makes me think that I am not ready!!! ah!<br /> sorry, end rant. </p>
