My baby likes noise. We were in the room today when hubby got his case sawed off. She just stared very curiously. So I make her food while she's around.

@Rubies: How fancy! I have an old fashioned steamer, then I use my magic bullet, and then I strain it with a metal strainer. I'm pretty old school I guess.

It's been decided that all baby food making will now be done on the weekends. I think that will make for a very happy baby and mommy.

Of the three times I've done it so far, twice was when she was sleeping. The one time she was up, she didn't mind at all. We have the Baby Brezza and it steams/purees automatically so we were upstairs while the food was being processed downstairs.

On the weekends, she's still in the room. She's gotten used to it.

We made it at night after she went down or on the weekends when both DH and I were home.

@artbee: My DD hates the food processor too! I usually make it when DH is home or when DD is sound asleep for a nap...that's if I'm feeling brave ;)
@looch: My DD is the opposite! She loves watching me vacuum but hates kitchen sounds like the food processor or chopping. That just shows you how different babies are!

I make it right before he eats it...he freaks out with the vacuum cleaner, but not the noisy kitchen sounds.

My LO is not a fan of the food processor. She cries, hard, and it takes a lot to comfort her and get her to stop crying. She's never been a fan of loud noises so I'm not at all surprised. I've only made her two meals so far, but I've decided that all of the rest will be made when hubby is home so she can be far, far away from me.

When do you make your LO's meals? Does your LO let you do it with her there, or do you also have to wait until someone can take your LO away from the very scary loud noises?
