We are also city dwellers with no car, so I can't exactly go buy groceries and carry them and corral a baby/toddler. DS is 3.5 and rides the boogie board on the stroller, and sometimes even rides in it if we are wearing DD. A structured carrier with metal pieces has to come off, but wraps are fine. We already use the push tricycle for a lot of outings around the neighborhood. We live in a very walkable neighborhood and about half of our usual destinations are about a mile each way. At some point they will be able to handle that on a bike but a stroller will make things like trips to the library, grocery store and farmers market a lot easier. I sort of dread the day that bringing a stroller on those types of trips is no longer reasonable! I'd love to retire it, but we walked 6 miles this morning! We live in the city and can't really go on epic trips without a stroller, at least until the kids are a bit older. </p> <p>Still, I don't think we can use a stroller for that much longer... just pushing it around the city is getting to be a tough workout as they get bigger!
