It all depends on if I get a normal period after he is born (he was conceived with IUI). I'm not holding my breath on that one though, I have never had a normal period. If it doesn't come back we will go back to our RE when he is around 12-18 months old and hopefully within 1 or 2 tries with the fertility meds we will be pregnant again. My husband really wants another baby, he even said he wouldn't mind three. I put my foot down on two, though. We thought it might take awhile and they might be a bit farther apart than we intended, but TTC in that time frame made more sense for us as far as our life situation. But instead we got pregnant on the first shot! So they will be a little over 2.5 years apart, which I think is just perfect. Probably closer to 2.5. I need some time to accrue more sick leave at work for a second maternity leave, and would like to try and have a baby in the second half of the year next time so the majority of my pregnancy/birth medical expenses are in one year due to our insurance. So try again late fall of 2014 maybe? But we'll see how the first one goes! We pay almost $1,000/month for an infant. Even if we wanted to go somewhere else, its hard to find some place good for less than $800. So once our LO's first birthday passed, we decided to start trying. Well, it didn't quite work out that way (i ended up having a miscarriage). I'd always imagined having 2 children and having them close in age. Now that I actually have a child however, I realize that it would be best to have them at least 2 years apart, closer to 3 years. I can't even imagine getting pregnant again now. Our LO is only 4 months old. The experience is still all too vivid for me. Have you guys begun discussing this?
