We read to DD first thing in the morning after nursing and again at night before dinner and bedtime. On weekends and when I'm home with her I also try to read to her during the day too. She loves books and loves to help turn the pages!

Random times throughout the day and always at bedtime. I think it's easiest to incorporate a story or two right before bed?

I'm a sahm so I read to my lo a lot during the day. We actually don't do bedtime books because by bedtime she's so so tired she just wants her sippy and then off to sleep.

I used to make it a point to read at least three books a day, but now lo is 15 months and loves books. If she sees a book she'll pick it up and bring it over for me to read to her. She doesn't have the attention span for me to actually finish it..... but I'm reading a million books a day so I'm not worried.

A short bedtime book every day. Then for a while it was just when I could stand it, because honestly I hate reading aloud. Now 50 times a day, because she keeps bringing them to me! I don't love it, but she does, and it's good for her.

This has changed so many times! Currently it's one before bed, and several on the potty, plus at random times during the day if he brings us a book.

charlie is soooo into reading these days, we often read books in the middle of the day. he asks us to read to him, sometimes the same book over and over again. and then also before bed every night.

Every afternoon, around 3:30 - 4:00. It's late enough in the day where we're usually home but early enough that it doesn't interfere with bed time. When she gets older, we'll start doing bed time stories, but for now, they're an excitement inducing, active part of her play, so we keep them for waking hours.

Just randomly. I tried to incorporate a bedtime book but it made her bedtime routine too long and she got cranky.

Maybe you could incorporate 1 book before bed?

We read to Toddler Girl at bedtime and naptime. Also whenever she brings us books, which goes in stages. Wonder Baby isn't getting nearly as much book time right now because she's always exhausted by sleep time.

Confession: I'm not a big reader... never have been (even though my parents read to me every night)

DD is now 9 months old and I really want to make an effort to introduce her to books and reading, but I feel like there's no time unless it's on the weekends.
