@Mrs. Lion: if they make eye contact I'll mention it voids the warranty on the seat, I don't come out and be all like"you're endangering your baby!" lol.

I wear her for walks around the neighborhood, especially when she is being fussy (so, like, a lot of evenings!). If she is wing cranky it is almost a sure fire way to calm her down. It's especially helpful when I have to walk the dog, too. I plan to wear her for public transportation too. I have also had to put her in te moby when we are out with the stroller or carseat bc she is melting down in a store (are you seeing a theme here?).

@mrsjazz: I always bring the moby with me- I swear its like MY security blanket.

@navy_mommy, when you see a new mom with the seat on top of the cart, do you ever say anything? If I hadnt come across an article while i was pregnant i wouldnt have known how dangerous it was....so part of me wants o share the info. But the other part knows how scarynit can be as a new mommy and a stranger calling me out would have felt pretty intrusive... I have wanted to several times but just cant ring myself to do it....

Grocery store & shopping were the places I wore her the most since it's dangerous to be on the cart top & I usually needed the basket space & extended periods aren't recommended. Now she sits in the cart b/c when I wear her she constantly tries to lean over & grab the cart handle.

I also always wear her when we go for walks, post office, or anywhere I might find myself standing in a line.

At home when she's fussin and I need to get stuff done. I have a newborn and a 16 month old so sometimes I need to wear her in the store because I need to put my toddle in the cart so he doesn't bolt.

I have a moby, cuddly wrap, and an ergo. I wear her when the stroller will take up too much room (crowded places like the farmers market, the grocery store on busy days, cozy coffee shops, etc), or if the terrain in not suitable for a stroller (hiking, apple picking, beach walks). I also throw her in the moby around the house when she's too fussy for the swing, and I need to answer emails, eat lunch, etc.

Ummmm, all the time, lol. I find a stroller cumbersome and even when he was little the car seat was too heavy to carry (and it should NEVER be put up on top of the cart - it is a falling hazard and can ruin the safety mechanism on the car seat and voids the warranty on the seat - if you need them in the car seat you have to put it in the large part of the cart)

For errands, when I don't feel like waiting for elevators (with the stroller), when she doesn't feel like being in the stroller anymore, at crowded events.

When we will be walking for awhile. At the store I *usually* bring her in her carseat or I carry her in my arms. I would like to do it more often but it's mostly just when we will be out shopping for awhile, at an event, etc. I would much rather wear her than make her be in the stroller forever

Costco, for sure. She hated Costco every time we tried to go, until I started wearing her in the Ergo! Sometimes when we go for walks, traveling, trips to stores that aren't that stroller friendly (i.e. Carter's, ironically). I always kept one of the carriers in the stroller until recently. She didn't like the carseat much.

When I'm going out by myself with LO and don't feel like lugging the stroller up and down stairs, so pretty often.

I always bring my carrier when I'm going to be away from my apartment for a while, even when I have LO in the stroller. She loves to be carried and when/if she gets cranky putting her in the carrier always calms her down.

The grocery store, any store I'm not trying clothes on, anytime we run errands and will be in and out a lot, or anywhere the stroller takes up too much trunk space that we will need. Or anywhere too busy where a stroller is a hassle (like a festival)

If I'm going somewhere with stairs. Or if I feel like snuggling with him, or of we're going shopping and there's a chance he might need to nurse (can do it in the ergo). Or if he's being clingy and I need to get stuff done around the house. Or if we're taking public transportation. So a few different scenarios lol.

I do wear him at the grocery store and I also wear him on walks, or at the mall, etc. He's not a big fan of the stroller, though, so wearing him is just easier.

I have a ring sling and an ergo. I love using both of them but I find I can't do it often. I mean, right now it just seems easier to put her carseat in the cart at the grocery store rather than take her out of it so I could wear her...

Where/when do you babywear?
