@blackbird: i totally agree about midday workouts! i used to work down the street from a crossfit gym but they didn't have any noon classes. Boooooo!

I work out in the evenings 3 times during the week and once on the weekend. DH puts our son to bed on those weeknights or we do bedtime together and I bolt as soon as he's down. On those evenings I make dinner before I leave so DH can eat but I don't eat until 8:30/9pm.

I am going to be working P/T soon and I can't wait to have those days to get to the gym and be able to spend more evenings at home.

@MsLipGloss: 15 minutes is way more than I have done in weeks... totally counts! I'm the same way with if it doesn't happen during a certain window of time it's just not going to happen.

Working out, what is this? I have slacked so bad :( I have to wake up in the mornings if I'm going to do it, because at night is just not feasible, I'm too tired by the time LO is in bed and I don't want to take away time from her when she's awake!

When I was really in a groove DS was 4-6 months old and I haven't gotten pregnant with DD yet. I was getting up and going to a work out class at 5 in the morning while DH was still home and could listen for LO. I took it with my sister so I knew she'd hold me accountable for going and once I got home I was on an endorphin high and ready to go. I really NEEDED to go to bed early when I was doing that though.

@TurtleDoves: Ditto to NO working out during nap time. I need that as my break!

ETA: Right now LO is 12 months old and I'm 34 weeks pregnant so what I do now is walk with DS. We walk to the playground and play for half an hour and walk back. It's 2.5 miles round trip.

I worked out this early this morning for a quick few minutes (15 minutes is better than nothing, right?!). . . I either do it in the weeee hours or immediately after LO goes down for the night. Otherwise, if it doesn't happen then, it ain't happenin'!

@lovehoneybee: @TurtleDoves: I hate working out in front of DH too! I feel so uncoordinated and out of shape! I sweat like crazy and he doesn't unless he's working out REALLY hard.

This week I started doing the Shred video after R goes to sleep. DH travels so I can't get to the gym. I need to change my gym since the one I am a member now doesn't have the best hours. Then I can go easier on the weekends.

I go right after work. Or i do something first thing in the morning. I've gotten up at 4:30 before...as LONG as i go to bed early, it's ok. I also write it on my calendar so it feels like an obligation.

I wish I could go midday or something! That'd be sweet

@lovehoneybee: bahahaha, ME TOO! But, luckily for me, dh just puts on his headphones and gets on the treadmill while I do 30DS and then he finishes and go to shower while I get on the treadmill. I could NEVER work out side by side with him because I'd look like a sweaty faced, panting fool. I sweat too. He doesn't. What?! It sucks.

Getting up early just isn't realistic for me, setting my alarm early is just setting myself up to fail. I work out right after E goes to bed. I'll either get dinner in the oven and then work out, or start dinner after I'm finished if it's a hands on thing. We end up eating late then though but it's the only way to get it all in and my DH doesn't get done with work until 8:30-9 anyway.

Right after work. We have a gym at my office so I can be working out five minutes after finishing work and don't have time to lose my motivation.

@TurtleDoves: I'm so weird about working out in front of my DH. He's just so...lean and fit and athletic, and I'm...not, and I'm embarrassed by it. Like he could probably get through the 30DS without even getting winded while I'm there on the ground gulping for air, lol. And we're in a tiny apartment at the moment so there's no where he can go that he couldn't at least HEAR me dying!

@lovehoneybee: I've tried working out during naps. Doesn't work. That is MY time to unwind or put the house back together.

I usually work out after bedtime. I get ready to work out while DH puts LO down and then we both workout afterwards (8pm).
I haven't been doing this though, because 1. I'm lazy 2. I have had 100 other things I've needed to do after bedtime 3. My husband has been coming home late, so doing bedtime on my own just exhausts me.

It's easiest to stick to it if I do mornings. I try to go 3-4 times/week, BUT I tend to just go for half an hour. Something about that is really manageable to me and it means I don't dread my time in the gym since it's relatively quick.

I feel like I have no time to work out but after seeing that post about the 'what's your excuse' mom I am motivated to really try and tone up a bit.

I set my alarm to get up an extra half hour early this morning to jump on the treadmill and when it went off it was all "yeah right" and I went back to bed.

My evenings are so packed already that I feel like any spare time I really prefer to relax a little.

If you work out regularly when do you do it? At night or in the morning?
