Although, my mind they are still so young when they first walk and seem like babies until closer to 2, and toddler clothes sizes do start at 2T. I pointed to one of her dad- "Who is that?" She smiled and yelled "Daddy!" Then I pointed to a picture of me- "Who is that?" She smiled and yelled "Fishie!" Then I pointed to a picture of her from a few months ago- "Who is that?" She looked at me for a minute and said, "Baby!"</p> <p>I still call her my baby a lot, though, but I think the idea of babies is very interesting to small children. My cousin's daughter is a year older than my daughter and was very concerned when I called my daughter baby. She said that my daughter could walk and talk, so she isn't a baby. Before 1, they are babies. After 3, they are preschoolers.
