If it was really dangerous to use past the 1st of the month, it would also include the day, not just the month. We just told the doc he had them and to give them away so they wouldn't expire. I have an injection that I take that's pretty dangerous to take after the exp. date. It's not like it becomes toxic or magically stops working once you hit the expiration date, it will just gradually lose effectiveness.
