@Mamaof2: Yeah, I guess I knew that could be it too (another one on it's way). She seems to get them symmetrically, like top right, top left, break. Bottom right, bottom left, break. She just got the 3rd and 4th bottom ones so I thought it was time for break!

On the plus side, and I say this with all my fingers crossed, she hasn't been biting me while she is nursing with this pair. Every other tooth has resulted in a few very painful days of nursing.

@Foodnerd81: once the tooth broke thru the gum the pain was gone - the painful part is when its coming down thru the gum!

If she is still fussy there must be another tooth on the way - she wont have all her teeth until age 2 so there's LOTS of teething left to go!

hang in there!

I'm pretty sure R has been affected by teething since it began. She's standing and chewing on her crib right now while she should be napping. Argh!

Honestly every single tooth is different. Some don't bother her once they break the gum, but then some do. I don't get it.

In terms of when a new tooth is coming in, when does it seem to affect your LO the worst? I thought it would be as it was breaking through, but once it was through the gum and you could feel it, it would be better. This doesn't seem to the be the case lately-- she has been drooling and chewing on everything and I could see yet another one pushing through the gum, but she wasn't overly cranky or fussy. Well today I can finally feel it and it's broken through the gums, but she is so fussy and just seems uncomfortable-- like she can be fine, then suddenly starts crying out of nowhere.

I give her Boiron Camilia before naps/bed when she is like this and it seems to help. I hate to over medicate so I try not to do Tylenol unless she seems to really need it, but it's so hard to know. Poor baby. It doesn't help that she also somehow bumped her face this morning in her crib and has a black and blue on her nose between her eyes. :(
