@rahlyrah: I would keep trying different things to offer instead - my LO loves to chew on a metal spoon :)

@MsLipGloss: He won't take a teether. Occasionally, he will chew on a wooden spoon but he doesn't really like putting things in his mouth (weird, I know).

Interesting thought about him mimicking! I don't really play bite but I do nom on his neck to try to tickle him. Maybe he is misinterpreting that?

Is he in pain/uncomfortable? Have you tried offering a teething ring or something like a mum mum after an *attack* to try to redirect the behavior? It sounds like he is just exploring with his mouth. I would try to give him * alternative territory* to explore!

ETA: do you do any play biting that he may be trying to mimic?

B is out of control. I'm convinced I am raising a tiny zombie who lunges himself at any glimpse of bare flesh. DH and I are literally covered in bruises. I'm scared to let anyone else hold him in fear that they will become his next victim. It's bad.

He's only 8 months, so I don't think he understands when we say, "No, we don't bite." His little daggers hurt, so we sometimes yelp out of pain, which causes a total meltdown on his behalf. It's a mess.

How long does this stage last? I am not exaggerating when I say that I spend a good portion of my day dodging his attacks.

He is lucky he is cute.
