Wish I had some better news, but like PP said, we're at 27 months and still whining. I want to pull my hair out when I hear it.

If your mom watches him frequently, honestly it's likely to get worse instead of better, and take WAY longer for him to get over, if she's caving when he has a fit.

My 4 year old still whines sometimes so I don't know when it stops. :bummed: But it gets better when they can talk more!

We went through a bad bad time from 15-18 months. Things seem a little better now at 19 months. I'm not sure if I'm becoming immune or if he's actually whining less. It's so frustrating at times!

I was in the park yesterday with friends and their 23 month olds. Oh crikey!! One had her shoe laces undone because she freaks when her mum tries to do them up, the other was refusing to wear her coat and they both sulked and/whined the whole time! Agh!

I think it comes and goes, Maddy is 2.5 and currently very whiney. She wants to wear a princess dress everywhere, and I won't let her which makes for lots of tantrums.

DD has just started the whining and fake crying at 21 months....just a few weeks before LO #2 is due. Great timing, right?! It's like she knows....hoping it passes quickly!

Got a little better at 18 months. Then bad again at 22 months and seems better again at 23 months. I think it's a constant thing for awhile!

Ds will be 17 mths on Monday.

And oh the whining.... the fake crying...

We're in the thick of it. Half the day is spent with whining over not getting what he wants and then the other hald whining over getting what he wants.

He does this the least w me cuz he knows I mean business. But I feel bad for my mom who watches him when I'm at work... it's gotta be so exhausting for her ;( and ds too ;( plus she's not as 'strict' as I am and ends up picking him up or caving :(

He obvi isn't lile this all day and is usually playful but we've def hit the pre-2 stage of toddlerhood!

Anyone feel me? When will this phase end?
