But I'm going to start cutting down as the dr. said now at 18 mo. she can have anywhere from 16-24 oz. a day. We just sit down and rock her and read or sing to her. I got used to trying to push it on him, because he hated it for so long, that now that he does like it, I think I might be giving him too much!</p> <p>When we started, I tried offering it in place of nursing sessions, but he wanted nothing to do with it. He nurses when he wakes up, after daycare, and at bedtime. I've been offering water throughout the day and water with meals. I've been avoiding milk with meals because I read that it can interfere with the absorption of iron. </p> <p>Should I be offering it with meals? Or after?? Or ?<br /> (He doesn't really like cow's milk but eventually I'd like to wean)</p> <p>So confused!!! </p>
