We tried EASY, but she would rather sleep after eating. She kind of built her own schedule and now it's more of ESYA and it works great for us. If you're having trouble with it or it doesn't feel right, adjust it accordingly.

In regards to the sleep training, we're doing the "Sleep Lady Shuffle" and it makes me feel much better about letting her cry as ling as I'm in the room.

I could have written this post! We followed easy until about a week ago when he started his growth spurt and is nap fighting. He only naps for like 30 mind and then wakes up an plays and then eats half his Boyle plays more then wants rest of bottle. I'm trying to get back on schedule so I'm going to I think try not to attempt a nap so soon after he wakes up (I usually do not let him go more than 1.5 hr after wake and instead am going to try 2).

I did EASY with my son at that age, the key for me was to "play" with him after he ate and try to keep him upright. We used to feed in his bedroom and play in the living room, so he had an idea that the activities were separate.

We still more or less follow the same principle with regards to the daily schedule.

@pelikila: Yeah, when she did take it, she only took MAM. She's just not a paci girl.

@c.sassy: Were you able to try a variety of pacifiers? It took us awhile the find a brand my son would take and finally lucked out with MAM.

@pastemoo: My instinct says to do this too, but it's not what the moms around me are doing and I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Why does becoming a mommy bring up so many insecurities?!

I can't do EASY with my son. I always let him nap after eating if he wants to... then he plays when he wakes up.
My son doesn't sleep much no matter how I do it, but if I want him to sleep at all, I have to let him sleep after eating.

She's never been a big paci fan. She took it fairly well for a couple of weeks, and only when she was tired...which is how we wanted to use it. Now she won't take it at all.

Would a pacifier help fulfill her need to suck?

We're trying to follow the basic EASY routine, but hold to it very loosely. Recently, however, my 3mo will only go to sleep while nursing or in the car. This doesn't bother me at night because she sleeps for 9+ hours. Naps are a different story, because I end up nursing twice as much as I need to. So, I have two questions.

1) Should I continue to feed her right after she wakes from a nap just to reinforce the routine?
2) How do I get her to start falling asleep again without the boob? I don't think pick up, put down will work for her ever. I'm not going to CIO, and don't really want to "train" before 4-5 months anyway.
