It took me a year to get pregnant a 2nd time, and after I lost that one as well, I didn't want to be waiting a whole year again. I used clomid when it became clear I wasn't ovulating, and it worked beautifully. My doc explained that it makes you ovulate "stronger." Not sure if that helps... Good luck with it! (I did Clomid with every IUI although our issue was more probably male factor, but it's hard to know for sure. I was already ovulating on my own so I responded fine to 50mg. However, I've never had any issue with ovulating - so am curious if clomid is really necessary for me? This is the first cycle I'm taking it, and definitely have more (and larger!) follicles than before. In this case, is it just about increasing the odds of the guys finding an egg, any egg? </p>
