I think he should be ok by tomorrow to go back, I'm pretty sure when DS had it they said as long as it wasn't oozing or shiny anymore it was fine. Good luck!

DS scratched his face sometime during Sunday night, and later developed impetigo. We didn't realize it until Thursday when it started to spread. The day before it just looked like a small scab on the scratch. We took him to the walk-in clinic at his doctor's office, and 10 mins later were getting a prescription for topical anti-biotics filled. The doctor said within 24 hrs of applying the cream, it shouldn't be contagious anymore. It looks really terrible still, but maybe won't be as bad on Monday. Would you send your child to daycare anyway? We kept him home on Friday, while he was still considered quite contagious. We usually err on the side of caution, but I have my 12 week ultrasound Monday morning.

Has your child had impetigo? How old were they and how did you handle it?
