The smell for sure, and in my experience it came out way faster, not the heavy dribble almost of spit up. </p> <p>I guess the short answer is, you just know. My guy sometimes spits up what looks like just milk and sometimes it's curdled... is that the difference? Or is it about how they respond to it, like vomiting is uncomfortable for them? I'm so clueless whenever the pediatrician asks me about this and her answer was, "vomit is vomit." But surely a not-yet-getting-solids baby's vomit looks different from my own, right?</p> <p>So glamorous, this parenting thing. </p>
