They said she had a fever of 102, a terrible cough (we already knew that, she's had a cold for awhile), and red eyes. DH brought her home and she was completely fine (except for the cold). No fever at all. I think late September. He had never ending ear infections but got tubes the first week of October and has done great ever since! He had a stomach bug followed immediately by a bad cold that triggered a bad double ear infection, which earned him what looked like pink eye (red eye that swelled shut) but wasn't (it was just a byproduct of the cold--I also got the eye thing). They had both been under the weather all weekend and we kept them home on Monday to be safe and not get other kids sick. Turns out she had an ear infection. DD1 probably 2 months ago? I'm thankful we did because she vomited a bunch of times that evening and overnight. We had been lucky before that - we hadn't had to pick her up (or keep her home) for some time. I remember when she was a baby, it seemed like she was home every other week with a fever. When is the last time you had to pick up your sick kid from daycare?
