Daycare called us to come pick her up on a Tuesday afternoon, because the sores were beginning to show up around her mouth (she never got a fever). We stayed out until the next Monday.

Doctor told us she was okay to return to daycare 24 hours AFTER the last bump/sore appeared. Her last one appeared on Saturday afternoon.

Luckily just 1 day! She had a super mild case though with just the rash on her hands and no fever. Since the sites weren't oozing, daycare was ok with her coming back.

A whole work week Monday to Friday unfortunately. Fever and inconsolable started on a Saturday and was awful for 4 days, then ok for the rest of the week, then back to eating and his normal self so back to daycare the following Monday.

How many days did you have to keep him/her out of daycare? Please include weekend days if you wouldn't have sent them if it was a weekday?

For DD2 the first time it was four days. She got it Wednesday so we were able to roll into the weekend. Of course, this time she got it on Monday....😁 I can't decide if she's ready to go back, temperament wise. But we have no available sitters tomorrow.
