Sorry you're feeling down. Every day is new, and I'm sure you're both going to reset. I have days where I feel like I've said "no" more than anything else -- something my parents always did. But, I just use the next day to focus on my parenting. You're awesome!

I probably apologize every day to my son for getting upset with him (especially in the mornings, trying to get out the door).

@autumn865: gosh, I think the thing that stresses me out is that I want to have another baby (maybe two) and I am thinking to myself "Can I even do this?" lol
I am a bit of a control freak so I know I need to go with the flow and accept the no sleep... She has been a great sleeper until recently

First of all just the fact that you were attentive to her needs shows that you were being a good mama! This is the story of my life now with a 2 year old and a one month old infant. Mommy doesn't sleep and toddler is a argumentative opinionated toddler. Mix a crying baby into the fray and the outcome unfortunately isn't always the most patient parent. It is what it is right now and I try to tell myself that kids are resilient and she knows that I love her.

@Tanjowen: Thanks! I know I'm still a person, but she is so sweet and perfect I don't want to damage her with my grumpy-ness lol

Yep, you aren't alone. We are in canine teething hell and he screamed off and on all last night, and then threw his entire breakfast on the floor. I lost it in the middle of breakfast and yelled, and then had to hand him to DH to go cool down.

Lack of sleep sucks, hang in there!

DD was up last night with her molars, poor thing. I had not even been asleep for an hour when she woke up.

She was being so good, just wanted to explore the house to take her mind off it, but I was dead on my feet and I feel like I was a little too stern with her about not getting into stuff.

Feeling like a bad mum :( Anyone else lose their patience when they are overtired?
