Sometimes I feel my chest tighten, and/or I tear up or cry. Occasionally accompanied by goosebumps :)

Goosebumps and tears! (especially live music like the symphony or the orchestra at the ballet)
And a really great feel-song just makes me feel warm and tingly, electrified :)

:) This makes me happy that it gives you all joy. I love the descriptions. Definitely more crying happened here while pregnant and early postpartum.
I sometimes feel the music in my skin and in my bones, like I can literally feel the music playing out from my bones. Weird. I thought everyone did until I made a fool of myself at a concert last week saying how weird my legs/shins felt after several of the pieces.
Joy is good. I'm glad music gives you joy and goosebumps.

Music makes me feel like I could cry. Usually only worship music, but occasionally a really powerful piece (or sung by someone with a. Incredible voice). @simplyfelicity: yes, this.

@meganmp: I, too, can be fairly easily brought to tears by music. Luckily, it happens most often when I'm alone...and it's 10x worse while pregnant. It is definitely embarrassing to me when there are people around. :silly:

Certain pieces of music and art have brought me to tears. It's slightly embarrassing, actually.

With music, it's goosebumps. I love that feeling, when a song is so good or when lyrics really mean something to me, and I get goosebumps all over.

When you are "touched" by special music or special events, how do you feel? Is it an emotion, or a physical feeling? When you feel your "heart melt" when your kid does something really sweet, what does that mean to you? How do you experience it?
I ask because we use this words of physical feeling to describe these emotional response and I wonder how common it is to physically feel emotions as well.
