i would only worry when she is sick. i can't hear her breathing over the monitor because we have a lot of static. but i will start to get worried if she doesn't change sleeping positions at all (i can see via the video monitor). i don't go into her room but i make some noise in the hallway and try to get her to change sleep positions. haha. that usually works and then i am like whew, she is alive!!!

@chopsuey119: I don't think I slept the first month because I would just stare at her in her pack n play. and I'm always worried about her swaddling..sometimes i flicker the lights once to see if she moves her eye brows and if she is really out of it I run my finger from her nose to her chin to see if she moves her mouth. Who knew sleeping could be so stressful!

@chopsuey119: We don't have a video monitor :( I thought it was silly since her room is literally right across the hall. Now I want one so bad!

I am the same way... and I feel aweful for thinking like that but I'm a nervous wreck! I even jump right up in the morning with my heart racing and put my hand on her tummy to make sure!

@artbee: glad i'm not the only one! my LO usually naps in the morning between 40 mins-2 hours. She's going on 2.5 hours now. I'm watching her on the monitor but I don't see any movement. Gonna go check on her in a bit if she doesn't wake up :P

I check on my LO constantly. I had to stop going into her room all the time because she's such a light sleeper I'd wake her up. So I just sit there with the monitor worrying, and she usually makes some sort of noise like she knows I needed confirmation.

I check on her because I'm afraid she's dead. :P

Am I the only freak of nature that does this? -.-
