We have a Moby wrap and Boba carrier. She started liking the bouncy seat around a month. We also do blanket/floor gym for playtime. So, nothing, there was never any time when I wasn't feeding her. :) OK realistically, DH held her a *lot* while he was off work. After he went back to work, I put her down on the activity gym/mat a lot of the time, and for future kids I think I would do this (or just a plain blanket) even more. The RnP and the Mamaroo and the swing were my options if I was walking out of the room and wanted to make sure the dogs didn't step on her or whatever while I was gone. If we didn't have dogs, I think next time around I would probably only put her into a swing or RnP when trying to get her to fall asleep. We also had a mamaroo, which she likes more now at 7 months than she ever did as a newborn. We got a lot of use out of our ikea playmat. The bassinet got hauled downstairs for day and put near a window. Even though she was sleeping I felt like the natural light would help her learn day from night.
