I loved the stretchy Bravado ones. I only bought one sized bra and hated it. It was baggy when empty and super tight when I was engorged, so uncomfortable and unflattering in every way. The Bravado ones gave great shape and support at all times.

@Adira: good point. I'll go someplace when the time comes and just wear stretchy things for another month. I'm not getting dressed up anyway.

I think I went around 5-6 weeks. But that was more out of laziness - I probably could have gone earlier.

Also, it's good to go get sized - the lady at Motherhood that sized me was really helpful and made it a point to point out the extra room you need for engorgement. I never would have thought of that!

So I jumped the gun and went try some on at target yesterday just to get a sense of my size, since so many places are having sales this week. I failed to take the leaking into account- as soon as leftie felt the fresh air it was leaky time which makes trying on bras difficult! I had to try them on over my stretchy one with the pads in it and gave up. Nursing tanks it is, at least for a few more weeks.

I feel like my boobs calmed down in the last week or so, around 4-5 weeks? I bought a crappy bra from Sears that fit at first when milk came in and is now wayy too big, and I recently bought a Hotmilk one that fits awesomely.

6-7 weeks pp. The LC who runs my nursing boutique recommends waiting 6-8 weeks so that your regular supply is established and engorgement has passed. I wore sleep nursing bras and nursing tanks until then.

FWIW, I love my Bravado Bliss!

I'm not sure -- maybe 3-4 months? I got some nice ones from the secret back room at Nordstrom.

Everyone said to wait until after delivery to buy nursing bras that come in real sizes (36B or whatever vs S/M/L). How long after delivery did you wait to figure out your size? I think my milk supply is somewhat well established at 2 weeks pp-- do you think it's safe to figure out my size now? I really want to get some nicer nursing tanks too-- I'm just rotating between the same three target ones every day for now!
