We're flying to San Fran for Thanksgiving, and when I checked prices originally they were really reasonable, and then a week to 10 days later, they had gone up by nearly $300 per ticket!!! :shocked: It ended up being least expensive for us to fly early Thanksgiving morning and come back on the following Monday (a redeye flight.) Try searching Google flights using the "flexible dates" option since you do have at least a LITTLE wiggle room. The kids' Christmas vacations start on Dec 24th, so we could fly out anytime from the evening of Dec 23rd on. School starts Mon Jan 5th, and we want to come back before Jan 3rd. </p> <p>Tickets are not cheap! Of course it is the holidays, but it seems like the cheapest days to fly are Christmas Day and New Year's Day.</p> <p>Last year Olive flew for free but 4 full price tickets hurts! Should I book now or is there a chance ticket prices could go down? I'm thinking that they won't because they are a little more than what we usually pay right now... </p>
