I think I may start on day 10 since most people voted for day 11 and a few for day 7.

@Leialou: Thanks for this advice. I think I'll probably start around Day 11. I'm just hoping it won't be another short cycle.

@Mamaof2: I was thinking of starting early, but going by my average, I don't want to run out of tests. =(

Ok. Assuming you have a 31 day cycle and a luteal phase of 13 days you would likely ovulate on day 18. I would start OPKs on day 11 or maybe a little later.

@stiletto_mom: better to start early for the 1st few cycles - I say CD 9

@Mamaof2: Never used an OPK, never temped or charted. I only use an app on my phone to keep track of AF. I'm not entirely sure when O-day is either.

@LBee: I'm not sure, I've never used an OPK before, it was already a "process" understand how this one works (and it's supposed to be easier).

Have you never used them before? When I first started I began on CD 9 and then after a few months and saw a pattern I started on CD 12 or 13 (I usually ovulated around CD 17)

Is it an option for you to order internet cheapies and wait to use the CB until those start darkening?

If I remember correctly, I think those tests need some kind of history and require you to start x amount of days early for accuracy.

I'm just finishing up AF right now.
These were my last 6 month cycles:

Dec 26, 2014 - Dec. 30, 2014 (Currently on day 5)
Nov 11, 2014 - Dec. 5, 2014 (26 day cycle)
Oct 28, 2014 - Nov 2, 2014 (33 day cycle)
Sept 24, 2014 - Sept 29, 2014 (34 day cycle)
Aug 14, 2014 - Aug 19, 2014 (41 day cycle)
July 14, 2014 - July 19, 2014 (31 day cycle)

Average is 31 days, but I'm alarmed at my shortening cycles?!
AF generally stays 5 - 6 days.
I only have 10 OPK tests to use. Using the Clear Blue Advanced Digital.

I looked at my OPK chart and it says that:
26 day cycles - start testing on Day 7
31 day cycles - start testing Day 11

What should I do? When should I start?

ETA: Average Luteal phase about 12 - 14 days.
