I'm usually to baffled by the whole experience to speak up, but I always move DS away and like move my body in a way that says "stand off". Lately people have been going for his legs so at least it not direct skin-to-skin contact but it still creeps and grosses me out! I don't touch them! When my siblings and I were babies/toddlers we lived in Indonesia. Because we were blonde (which is lucky in that culture), strangers would walk up to us all the time and pinch our cheeks so hard that we had bruises! My mother was so angry but she couldnt do much because of the cultural situation. Apparently one day when I was 2 I got pinched and I immediately punched the lady who did it in the face! A stranger came up to LO, stuck her face in LO's face, and started talking to her and then touched her arm. Who does that??? Hubby was quick to tell her that she has stranger anxiety and if she didn't step away, LO would scream. (He said it in a nicer way of course). </p> <p>Today we were at a park and a little girl came up to LO and started petting her head. Her mom was right there and she didn't say anything. I just distracted the little girl by talking to her about her bracelet and then we left. </p> <p>Why do strangers think it's ok to touch a baby? I don't know where your hands have been! </p>
