I told my boss because of the doctors appointments after my 1st trimester. I honestly did not really feel the need to announce it. People figured it out when they say my stomach getting larger. I wanted them to know why. I will be seeing them tomorrow, but since I am just 12 weeks and have my ultrasound on Thursday, I would feel most comfortable not announcing just yet. </p> <p>My other option is to announce during a bi-weekly Skype call with my department (7 people including myself) either at 14 weeks (the day before we tell our families in person) or at 16 weeks. Of course, I would announce to my manager separately and before announcing to everyone else. </p> <p>My question is, if I wait until 16 weeks is that "too late"? Will they wonder why I waited so long? I'll be the first female to announce even though my manager's wife and another co-worker's wife have both had babies. </p>
