@rahlyrah: thanks. At this point I'm inclined to just wait it out unless any other symptoms develop.

@lamariniere: If it is roseola you can just let it run it's course. The rash comes at the tail end of the virus. The doc said that most rashes that don't itch/irritate are viral, so there isn't much that can be done anyway. I was just told to avoid pregnant women because it can potentially cause them to miscarry if they catch it.

@rahlyrah: good to know. It kind of looks a bit like that, only it isn't on his face yet. I probably found the scary ones on the google image search. At what point did you see the doctor? We would either have to go to the ER tomorrow or wait until Monday to see the ped.

I never took a picture of his body, but you can kind of tell what his face looked like in these pictures.

@lamariniere: B's weren't blistery at all. He was covered in small, red bumps. If you looked at him from a distance you wouldn't have been able to tell he had a rash. It looked very similar to heat rash. The doc said some kids don't get any other symptoms.

@Mrs Green Grass: I'm definitely going to take pics tomorrow. Yuck! I just looked up measles and luckily it doesn't look like that.

@rahlyrah: ugh, looked up that one too. The ones I saw all looked more blistery, but DS's doesn't look like that. He hasn't had any fever at all either.

Could it be roseola? B just got over it. The rash itself isn't bothersome. His was mostly on his trunk, back, and groin. He also had some on his face. Usually there is a fever for a few days prior though.

We had a rash two weeks ago...it went away after 4 or so days...never caused discomfort and was either white or red small bumps. I never noticed a fever.

My ped said to email a picture next time, but I know most rashes are viral and clear on their own. I would have taken him I'm with a prolonged fever or if it got worse not better after the first 2-3 days. I also looked up rashes and could tell it didn't look like measles, etcetera.

@coacheswife123: that's what it kind of looks like, but I don't think it's heat rash. It hasn't been very warm out the last few days. Also, he's 3, so no diapers.

DS has had a very light rash on his back and abdomen for the last 3 days, but today it has spread to the top of his bottom and his groin area. He's not itchy and seems completely fine. I can't think of anything that could have caused it, no new clothes, new soap/detergent, new foods (although he has eaten a ton of raspberries in the last few days), and it hasn't been hot (so not heat rash). We are monitoring it for now. When should I be concerned? I don't have any pics because he already went to bed.
